Ploner's Pinot Nero is a refined and distinctive expression of this noble grape variety, cultivated in mountainous areas where the unique microclimate contributes to defining its unique character. Sourced from carefully selected vineyards, this wine is the result of meticulous attention both in the vineyard and the cellar, ensuring superb quality.

On the nose, Ploner's Pinot Nero opens with delicate notes of red fruits, particularly cherries and wild strawberries, enriched with nuances of vanilla and mild spices, thanks to aging in wood that never overwhelms the fruit's freshness. The bouquet is complex and seductive, with an elegant balance between fruity and more evolved scents.

On the palate, it stands out for its elegance and finesse. The structure is balanced, with soft yet well-presented tannins that lead to a long and pleasantly persistent finish. The acidity is well integrated, contributing to the wine's overall freshness, making it surprisingly drinkable and an excellent companion for a variety of dishes.

Ideal for pairing with dishes based on light red meats, poultry, and even fish, Ploner's Pinot Nero is also perfect with vegetarian dishes that include mushrooms and truffles, ingredients that reflect the land of origin of this excellent wine.

With its distinctive character and versatility, Ploner's Pinot Nero represents an excellent addition to any table, capable of satisfying the most demanding palates and elevating every occasion.

Winery history
Plonerhof was born from the conversion of an old farmhouse into a vineyard, led by the Tutzer family. The first bottling trials date back to the 2010s, with production consolidating in the early years of the following decade. The estate combines the owners' vine-nursery expertise with direct vineyard management, developing over the years an identity focused on low yields, clonal selection and quality wines.
Production philosophy
Vineyards are cultivated with the utmost respect for the environment, employing minimal interventions and a strong emphasis on manual work; at the winery the focus is on careful grape handling and a calibrated aging regime that highlights varietal and terroir characteristics. The estate has also undertaken projects on resistant grape varieties and clonal selection.
Terroir and vineyards
Marlengo hill: sandy-clay soils with occurrences of granite, schist and gneiss; vineyards on the valley-facing slopes with steep gradients, which promote a marked diurnal temperature range and the aromatic ripening of the grapes.
Awards and recognitions
Mentions and awards for some wines: the winery's Solaris has been awarded or mentioned in PIWI contexts; the Pinot Noir is positively mentioned in specialist guides and rankings.
