The Pinot Noir Herrnbaumgarten from Weingut Frank shows a transparent ruby color and good clarity. On the nose it offers a bouquet of fresh red fruits, such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by floral hints of rose petals and more earthy, subtly spicy notes reminiscent of undergrowth. The palate is elegant and smooth: balanced acidity, fine tannins and a medium-bodied structure that highlights the delicacy of the fruit without overwhelming it. The progression is harmonious, with fruity returns and a dry, savory finish that invites another sip.

It pairs well with simple yet flavorful dishes: roasted white meats, mushroom dishes, vegetable risottos and not overly aged cured meats, as well as medium-aged cheeses. Serve slightly cool, around 14–16 °C; a short decanting can enhance expressiveness if the bottle seems closed. It is a wine to enjoy now for its immediacy, while retaining a modest potential to evolve in the short term.
