The Rosé de Saignée Secret - Geoffroy is a brilliant example from the Champagne region, obtained through the saignée technique, which allows for extracting a more intense color and character from Pinot Noir grapes. This ancient method, decidedly less common than simple pressing, gives the wine an elegant structure and a complexity that make it a unique and profound rosé.

The production area, rooted in the heart of Champagne, gives the wine a fresh minerality that is well expressed in the fruity notes of wild strawberries and raspberries, balanced by a subtle spicy vein and yeast scents typical of the traditional method. Aging on fine lees enhances the creaminess of the perlage and amplifies the taste persistence, making this rosé perfect to accompany refined seafood dishes such as shellfish and sushi, but also preparations based on white meats.

The Rosé de Saignée Secret - Geoffroy presents itself as a highly expressive rosé, able to tell the terroir of Champagne with elegance and lively character, ideal for those seeking a refined and original sensory experience.
The winery

Champagne Geoffroy – Winery in Champagne (Vallée de la Marne)

Discover the story and wines of Champagne Geoffroy.

Family-run Champagne house operating as a récoltant-manipulant, with vineyards mainly in Cumières (Premier Cru) and a working cellar in Aÿ. It produces expressive cuvées, benefiting from parcel-by-parcel vinification and technical choices focused on freshness.
Region: Champagne (Vallée de la Marne)
Country: Francia
Grapes: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir
Vineyards concentrated mainly in Cumières. Declared vineyard area: 14 hectares. Declared varietal percentages: approximately 24% Chardonnay, 34% Pinot Meunier, 42% Pinot Noir. The winery and winemaking operations were relocated to Aÿ in 2008. Winemaking practices focused on preserving freshness and the use of traditional pressing.
Winery history
The Geoffroy family has cultivated vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne since the 17th century. In the early 1950s Roger Geoffroy began bottling under his own name. Management then passed to René and later to Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy, who moved the winemaking and commercial operations to Aÿ in 2008. The house has grown while remaining family-run and involving the next generation.
Production philosophy
Production aims to respect the soil and the vineyard’s expression: minimal vineyard work and winemaking conducted parcel by parcel. In the cellar, priority is given to traditional pressing, gravity transfers and choices intended to preserve freshness. Blending and dosage are decided to enhance the wine’s natural balance.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyard covers 14 hectares, divided into plots across the hills of Damery, Hautvillers, Fleury-la-Rivière and, notably, Cumières, a village classified Premier Cru in the Vallée de la Marne. The land is fragmented into numerous clos and parcels that provide diverse varietal expressions typical of the region.
