This Rosso IGT from Casale Del Giglio, label Tempranijo, shows a lively ruby color. On the nose it offers a composed, direct profile with notes of ripe red fruit, light spicy hints and a discreet herbal touch. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with soft tannins and balanced acidity that supports the sip without overpowering; the finish is clean and easy-drinking, suitable for those seeking a well-made everyday wine. The balance between fruit and freshness makes it immediately pleasing, without requiring special attention.

We recommend serving it around 16-18 °C in a wide glass to promote aeration; a short decanting can further open the bouquet. It pairs with cold cuts, tomato-based dishes, white meats and medium-aged cheeses; it works well for informal, convivial meals. Also suitable with Mediterranean dishes and light grilled fare; to open up, let it rest a few minutes in the glass. Store away from heat and direct light; ideal for consumption in the near term.

Winery history
Founded in 1967 by Dr. Berardino Santarelli. Production philosophy
“The future of Italian viticulture relies not only on consolidating the image of its traditional wine producing zones but on its ability to produce top quality wines at favourable prices in areas whose potential is still relatively unexplored.” (from the winery presentation).

Located in the Agro Pontino valley, between Aprilia and Latina (Le Ferriere), about 50 km south of Rome; maritime-influenced climate. The estate lists about 180 hectares of vineyards, converted to cordon training and planted with both local and international varieties.
