The Sangiovese Sup. di Romagna Riserva DOC from Poggiogirato, produced by the renowned Poggio della Dogana winery, is a red wine of exceptional quality that elegantly embodies the winemaking tradition of Romagna. Originating from vineyards located on the fertile hills of Romagna, this Sangiovese is the result of a careful selection of the best grapes, followed by a meticulous and respectful winemaking process using traditional methods.

A distinctive characteristic of this Sangiovese Riserva is its deep ruby red color, with garnet hues that develop over the years. Aromatically, it opens with a rich and enveloping bouquet, dominated by notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, enhanced by elegant nuances of spices and a subtle hint of tobacco and cocoa, thanks to aging in oak barriques.

On the palate, the Sangiovese Sup. di Romagna Riserva DOC from Poggiogirato reveals a robust yet harmonious structure, with soft and well-integrated tannins that lead to a persistent and pleasantly complex finish. Its well-balanced acidity and rich fruity expression make it an ideal pairing for intense and structured dishes, such as roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses.

This wine not only represents excellence in the Romagna wine scene but is also a specimen that continues to improve with aging. Enjoyable now or to be further refined in the cellar for a few years, the Sangiovese Sup. di Romagna Riserva DOC is a distinguished choice for any collector or lover of high-quality Italian wines.
