Winery history Poggio della Dogana

Family-run project led by brothers Aldo and Paolo Rametta; the winery was relaunched in the hilly areas of Romagna with the aim of enhancing the local native grape varieties and the area's winemaking heritage.

Production philosophy

Produced under certified organic farming, with a focus on respecting the land and biodiversity, using indigenous yeasts and winemaking choices that prioritize the expression of the terroir, with aging in cement or stainless-steel tanks depending on the wine.

Terroir and vineyards

Vineyards spread across the hills between Castrocaro Terme – Terra del Sole and Brisighella, at altitudes ranging from approximately 180 to 300 metres above sea level. Soils are varied, including brown, mineral-rich clays in the Castrocaro area and calcareous/sandy soils in Brisighella, with a maritime influence from the nearby Adriatic.
