Pairing Red meats, aged cheeses
Susumaniello di Poggio Marù presents itself with an immediate, sincere character: medium ruby red with slight violet reflections, aromas recalling ripe cherry, small red fruits and a subtle note of sweet spice. The bouquet is frank but not intrusive, with a floral hint and some herbaceous nuances that lighten its profile. On the palate it shows liveliness and balance, well-calibrated freshness and a pleasant sapidity that supports a medium body and soft, never aggressive tannins. The texture is savory, the acidity gives lift and leaves room for a fresh finish that invites a second glass.

The sip is smooth and easy-drinking, with a progression that favors cleanliness and drinkability over opulence; the persistence is pleasant, with fruity returns and a spicy touch on the finish. Excellent with everyday dishes: cured meats and medium-aged cheeses, tomato-based pasta, white meats and pizza; serve around 16–18 °C to appreciate its freshness and balance. An authentic red, suited to informal but well-appointed tables.
