Production method
The Maison works primarily with eaux-de-vie from Grande and Petite Champagne, practices double distillation with lees for some parcel cuvées and matures spirits in controlled cellars; blending is central to the assemblage cuvées, while vintage releases highlight single years or parcels.

The Maison is named after Thomas Hine, an Englishman who settled in Jarnac; the house has been active since the 18th century and is commonly cited with an origin date of 1763. Throughout its history Hine has been noted for its vintage bottlings and Fine Champagne blends. In 2004 Hine acquired the Domaine de Bonneuil, expanding its presence in the Grande Champagne cru.
