The Fillioux family has been active in the Cognac region for generations. The current estate (Domaine de La Pouyade) was acquired in 1894 and the house has grown as a family business with multiple generations involved in vine growing, distillation and ageing of eaux-de-vie. During the 20th century the family consolidated its commercial presence in France and abroad; the estate is still family-managed and the house values the reserves of eaux-de-vie accumulated in its warehouses.
