Albana Secco Romagna DOCG - Cà di Sopra Marzeno comes from the heart of Romagna, a land rich in wine-making tradition and fertile soils. Made with Albana grapes, a native variety that best expresses the characteristics of the territory, this wine stands out for its lively and complex structure.

In the glass, it shows a bright straw yellow color, while on the nose it offers intense aromas of white-fleshed fruit, floral notes, and mineral sensations that recall the calcareous nature of the soil. On the palate, it is appreciated for its balanced freshness and pleasant sapidity, with a persistence that invites the next sip. The white vinification process, with controlled fermentation, enhances the purity of the grape variety without aromatic overlaps, resulting in an elegant and versatile wine.

Perfect as an accompaniment to fish dishes, white meats, or as a refined aperitif, Albana Secco Romagna DOCG - Cà di Sopra Marzeno represents an authentic experience of Romagna viticulture.

Discover the story and wines of Ca' di Sopra.

A family-run estate on the hills of Marzeno (Romagna) that primarily grows Sangiovese and Albana, producing wines focused on expressing the terroir.
Region: Emilia-Romagna
Country: Italia
Founded: 1967
Grapes: Sangiovese, Albana, Trebbiano, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco
Vineyards located in the Marzeno subzone Strong focus on Sangiovese and small-production labels. Family-run Two main estates: Ca' di Sopra and Ca' del Rosso. Visits and tastings available by appointment.
Winery history
The estate is led by the Montanari family; the company began as an agricultural and winemaking concern and, from 2000, initiated a significant renewal of its vineyards. Since 2006 the winery has focused production on a few high-quality labels made from the estate's best vineyards. The company website states it was founded in 1967 and describes a process of modernization and the selection of the finest parcels.
Production philosophy
The estate aims to translate the character of Marzeno into the bottle through limited yields and careful vineyard management: showcasing the local Sangiovese and native varieties, working the vineyards according to the terroir, and vinifying to express the character of the valley.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the small Marzeno subzone on predominantly calcareous-clay soils; elevations range approximately from 80 to 240 m a.s.l, depending on the estate. The microclimate and exposure influence the style of the wines, particularly the Sangiovese di Marzeno.
