The Bas Armagnac 1985 by Castarède is a fine distillate, an authentic expression of the terroir of Gers, the beating heart of the Armagnac region. This vintage, made from typical grapes such as Ugni Blanc, Colombard, and Folle Blanche, reflects the expert art of distillation that has always characterized the maison Castarède, one of the oldest in the area. Aging in oak barrels for over three decades gives it extraordinary complexity, with deep and enveloping notes that evolve in the glass, offering hints of vanilla, dried fruit, and sweet spices.

On the nose, intense notes of toasted oak, honey, and tobacco emerge, while the palate wraps with a balance between softness and structure, accompanied by a long and persistent finish that leaves an elegant and refined memory. The Bas Armagnac 1985 is ideal to savor while contemplating moments of meditation or paired with desserts based on dark chocolate and nuts, perfect to classily complete a special evening. A true gem for enthusiasts of ancient and sought-after distillates.
