Finca Montico Organic by Marques de Riscal is a wine born in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, one of the most representative and dedicated areas for Spanish wine production. Obtained from organic grapes, this wine reflects respect for the land through sustainable agricultural practices that enhance the purity of the terroir. The main grape variety is Tempranillo, grown in carefully tended vineyards that ensure optimal ripening of the grapes.



The aging process takes place in oak barrels, giving the wine complexity and depth. On the nose, it opens with elegant aromas of ripe red fruits, combined with delicate notes of spices and vanilla, while on the palate it stands out for a balance between softness and freshness. Winery history
The property originated as a winery associated with the title of the Marchese de Riscal. Camilo Hurtado de Amézaga was the driving force behind the entrepreneurial transformation that led to the company's founding in the second half of the 19th century; the winery has a long tradition of producing Rioja and, from the 1970s onward, has also established itself in the Rueda appellation for white wines. During the 20th and 21st centuries the estate expanded its wine‑tourism focus by creating the "Ciudad del Vino" and building the iconic hotel designed by Frank Gehry.
Production philosophy
The estate declares a strong commitment to respecting the land and to wine quality: it promotes organic and regenerative farming practices aimed at preserving soil health, enhancing varietal character and adapting the vineyards to climate change. At the same time it seeks to combine tradition and innovation, opening the cellar to the public with tours and hospitality experiences.
