Pairing Red meats, aged cheeses
The Negroamaro from Poggio Marù presents an immediate, sincere profile: intense ruby red, on the nose it offers a mix of ripe red fruits and cherry, hints of plum and a slight spicy streak recalling black pepper and some Mediterranean herbs. The palate is direct but well balanced, with good acidity that keeps the wine lively and drinkable and tannins that are present but smooth, building structure without weighing it down. The sensation is warm but never cloying, with a savory note that lengthens the finish and a persistence that invites a second glass.

This Negroamaro finds its place at the table: it naturally accompanies flavorful cured meats, pasta with robust sauces, grilled meats and medium-aged cheeses. Serving it at a moderate temperature, around 16–18 °C, helps to capture its freshness and balance; a short decanting in a carafe can free its fruity notes in the first sips. It’s an everyday yet carefully made wine, able to give character to the meal without being complicated.
