The Rum Demerara Port Mourant & Enmore 1998 by El Dorado represents an authentic excellence of Caribbean tradition, born in the heart of Guyana. This rum is the result of a fine blend, combining distillates from the famous Port Mourant stills, with double column and robust character, with those produced in the Enmore facilities, known for their delicacy. The prolonged aging, of over twenty years, takes place in tropical oak barrels that give the distillate depth and complexity. On the nose, intense notes of molasses, sweet spices and earthy hints emerge, accompanied by slight recognitions of tobacco and dark chocolate. The palate reveals a refined balance between sweetness and warmth, with an enveloping and harmonious persistence.
