The story
The estate is managed by the Cottini family: its origins date back to 1925, and the business has developed over several generations into an operation with multiple estates. Over time the winery has expanded its production and wine portfolio, while maintaining direct control over the entire process from vineyard to bottle.
Production philosophy
Production connected to the land, family-run management and sustainability: Monte Zovo declares an ecological approach to its facilities and agricultural practices, summarized in the company principles and in the manifesto for the care of the territory.
Terroir and vineyards
The winery is based in Caprino Veronese and operates across several areas: Tenuta Marnebianche in Valpolicella, Tenuta Le Civaie for Lugana and Tenuta dell'Anfiteatro / eastern Lake Garda; a drying centre and fruit-drying facility are located in the Tregnago area.
Awards and recognition
Numerous recognitions for Amarone and other labels: including Gambero Rosso, high ratings from Robert Parker, Falstaff and Wine Enthusiast, awards at the Merano Wine Festival, as well as mentions and scores for the Lugana and Calinverno wines.
