Winery history Borgogna Jaffelin (Maison Jaffelin)

Jaffelin's cellars are located in the ancient "Caves du Chapitre" connected to the Collégiale Notre-Dame in Beaune: the cellars date back to the 12th century, and in 1816 the Jaffelin brothers began their négociant business on these premises. Over time the Maison has remained focused on blending and in-house winemaking, preserving and restoring the historic character of its cellars.

Production philosophy

The estate combines artisanal methods with a modern approach to winemaking: it produces handcrafted cuvées, uses traditional equipment, and oversees cellar aging to express the character of the different Burgundian terroirs.

Terroir and vineyards

Operating in the heart of Burgundy and based in Beaune, Maison Jaffelin sources grapes from several subzones and villages of the region and offers wines ranging from Burgundy and village appellations such as Chambolle-Musigny, Meursault and Gevrey-Chambertin to crémant and terroir cuvées.

Awards and recognitions

Gold medals at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris 2023 for Savigny‑les‑Beaune 1er Cru "Les Vergelesses" 2020 and Beaune 1er Cru "Sur les Grèves Clos Saint Anne" Monopole 2020.
