The Sancerre "Château de Fontaine-Audon" by Langlois-Château is a white wine that embodies the elegance and finesse of Sauvignon Blanc, grown in the renowned hills of Sancerre, in the Loire region of France. This area is famous for its calcareous soils and temperate climate, which contribute to giving the wines a marked minerality and lively acidity, distinctive traits of Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc.

Langlois-Château, with a history dating back to 1885, has consolidated its reputation by producing high-quality wines that express the unique terroir of the Loire. The acquisition of Château de Fontaine-Audon allowed the winery to have access to one of the few monopolies in Sancerre, with vineyards located in a single estate that guarantees grapes of exceptional quality and unique characteristics.

The vinification of "Château de Fontaine-Audon" follows a meticulous approach, aimed at preserving the freshness and aroma of Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes, harvested by hand at the optimal moment of ripeness, undergo delicate pressing, followed by low-temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks. This process helps keep the varietal aromas and natural freshness of the wine intact, resulting in a Sancerre of remarkable purity and expressiveness.

Visually, the wine has a light straw yellow color, with greenish reflections that underline its youth and freshness. On the nose, the "Château de Fontaine-Audon" reveals an intense and complex aromatic bouquet, characterized by notes of white pulp fruit, such as green apple and pear, citrus accents, floral nuances and a marked minerality, reminiscent of flint typical of the Sancerre terroir.

In the mouth, the wine is vibrant and well-structured, with a balanced freshness and acidity that supports its fruity aroma and leads to a long, mineral finish. The purity and precision of the flavors make "Château de Fontaine-Audon" an excellent example of Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre, capable of evolving beautifully over time.

Ideal as an aperitif or paired with dishes based on fish, seafood, fresh goat cheese and light salads, the Sancerre "Château de Fontaine-Audon" by Langlois-Château is a refined choice for lovers of white wines looking for elegance, minerality and aromatic complexity in a single sip.
