Founded in 1851 in Condom by Pierre-Étienne Janneau, Maison Janneau is one of the oldest and most important Armagnac houses. During the 20th century it contributed to the return of double distillation in Armagnac (restored following a request by Janneau in 1972). The company became part of the Spirit France group (acquisition/participation announced in 2014).
